BC Adult Graduation Diploma (formerly Adult Dogwood) Prep
We offer education support to adults looking to complete their BC High School diploma. We can assist you in registering for classes, as well as help you to build your skills in order to successfully complete the classes required for graduation.
Adult Literacy – English & Math
This program is personalized for each learner. It covers a wide range of topics from learning to read and math fundamentals to preparing yourself for your Adult Dogwood. Reading, writing, and math skills are worked on individually, with support from staff members. Appointments can be made for extra assistance. English Language Classes
Conversation Circle
Every Tuesday 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
An opportunity for speakers of different levels to come together and practice speaking & listening in English.
Multi-level English (LINC)
Mondays and Wednesdays 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
In this class, learners will practice their speaking and listening as well as their reading and writing skills. Grammar basics and vocabulary are a focus. Canadian culture and traditions are discussed.
English Exam Preparation (CELPIP – IELST – PTE)
Mondays 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
In this class, learners will practice the components in standardized English competency exams, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
All classes may be subject to change depending on the needs of the learner
Child minding is available for some classes.

English Language for the Workplace/Open Learning
Thursdays 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Our Workplace English Language class explores a wide variety of workplace communication. We focus on customer service, Canadian-style workplace writing, and Canadian workplace culture. Classes can be modified for learner needs and levels. Open Learning provides a drop-in space to study English/work skills with educational support.
All Ages/Levels Family Literacy

A chance for families to practice speaking English together while children have a chance to complete homework. There will be hands on family literacy activities on a variety of subjects, as well as tips, handouts and access to free books donated by Literacy Now.
